Fluidi-B is a multi-instrumentalist, creator, and performer whose work exists across two intertwined practices: the experimental world of Fluidi-B and the collaborative, performance-driven musical work of Brigitte Knudson. Based in Michigan, she creates music and mixed-media projects out of her studio, the B-Hive, where she blends acoustic instruments, electronic textures, songwriting, and improvisation into a distinctive artistic voice.
Music & Performance
As a bassist with M. L. Liebler & the Magic Poetry Band, Brigitte brings groove, atmosphere, and dynamic depth to a group known for its fusion of spoken word, jazz, rock, and improvisation. She also performs on chromatic harmonica with Starfish, adding expressive melodic lines and tonal color to the ensemble’s eclectic sound.
Brigitte has performed at a wide range of venues—including intimate clubs, cafés, libraries, universities, festivals, and community events—bringing the same intuitive musicianship and emotional authenticity to every stage.
Fluidi-B — An Experimental Identity
Under the persona Fluidi-B, Brigitte explores a more fluid, genre-bending space. Her work combines vocals, bass, harmonica, acoustic instrumentation, electronic elements, looping, and sound design. Fluidi-B is an artistic lens through which Brigitte pushes boundaries: blending storytelling, groove, experimentation, and texture into immersive, emotionally resonant pieces.
The B-Hive & Plaid Butterfly
All of Brigitte’s creative work is rooted in the B-Hive, her recording and production space. Here she writes, records, produces demos, and develops cross-disciplinary projects with intention and independence.
Her production company, Plaid Butterfly, grows from the same spirit—supporting her creative output as well as future collaborations, releases, and multimedia endeavors.
